Cedarwood Atlas has a warm, balsamic, woody aroma. It is relaxing and soothing when used for massage, and has long been used as a beneficial ingredient in cosmetic preparations for oily skin. Throughout antiquity, Cedarwood has been used in medicines and it’s medicinal properties make it a good choice for combating hair loss (alopecia areata), antibacterial, lymphatic stimulant. Stimulates the limbic region of the brain (the center of emotions), as well as stimulates the pineal gland, which releases melatonin. Terry Friedmann MD found in clinical tests that this oil was able to successfully treat ADD and ADHD (attention deficit disorders) in children. It is recognized for its calming, purifying properties.
Spruce White, the Lakota Indians used spruce to strengthen their ability to communicate with the Great Spirit. Spruce is also an antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and immune stimulant. Helps release emotional blocks, bringing about a feeling of balance and peaceful security. It is refreshing, invigorating, and strengthening. It also has a long history of use in the sauna, steam bath, and as an additive to baths or massage oils.
Fir Needle, commonly used as a christmas tree today—has been prized through the ages for its medicinal effects and ability to heal respiratory conditions and muscular and rheumatic pain. Used to help with: throat/lung/sinus infections, fatigue. arthritis/rheumatism, urinary tract infections, scoliosis/lumbago/sciatica. Traditionally used for muscular aches and pains, the warm aroma of balsam fir soothes and rejuvenates body and mind. The scent is grounding, stimulating to the mind, and relaxing to the body. Also believed to create an uplifting sense of well-being.
Ylang Ylang I means “flower of flowers.” has a sweet, soft, flowery fragrance that has made it a romantic favorite. In fact the flowers have been used to cover the beds of newlywed couples on their wedding night. Traditionally used in hair formulas to promote thick, shiny, lustrous hair. . Ylang ylang is extremely effective in calming and bringing about a sense of relaxation, and it may help with releasing feelings of anger, tension, and nervous irritability. It has been used to help with a wide range imbalances: cardiac problems, anxiety, hypertension, depression, hair loss, intestinal problems, combats anger, and low self-esteem. Balances male-female energies, enhances spiritual attunement. Increases focus of thoughts, filters out negative energy. Helps to restore confidence and peace.
Patchouli sometimes called "the scent of the sixties," has a musky, earthy, exotic aroma. In Eastern cultures, it is commonly used around the house to provide general support for health and to help release negative emotions. It is very beneficial for the skin, helping to reduce a wrinkled or chapped appearance. Patchouli is a general tonic that supports the digestive system and soothes occasional queasiness.
Tangerine is a calming essential oil with a sweet, tangy aroma, similar to orange. It helps with occasional nervous irritability. An excellent oil to help uplift the spirit and bring about a sense of security, tangerine is also rich in the powerful antioxidant d-limonene. Tangerine may also be used to enhance the flavor of food.
Frankincense has a sweet, warm, balsamic aroma that is stimulating and elevating to the mind. Useful for visualizing, improving one's spiritual connection, and centering, it has comforting properties that help focus the mind and overcome stress and despair. Frankincense is considered the holy anointing oil in the Middle East, where it has been used in religious ceremonies for thousands of years. More recently, it has been used in European and American hospitals and is the subject of substantial research. Frankincense is also a valuable ingredient in skin care products for aging and dry skin. The ancient Egyptians used it in rejuvenation face masks.
For aromatic use. Diffuse or apply on crown of head, forehead, base of head, chest, wrists and behind the ears.
Possible skin sensitivity. If pregnant or under a doctor's care, consult your physician. Dilution not required; suitable for all but the most sensitive skin. Generally safe for children over 2 years of age.
