Peppermint (mentha piperita) is one of the oldest and most highly regarded herbs for soothing digestion. Scientists have researched it’s effect on the liver and respiratory, improving concentration and mental accuracy. When inhaled it improves the sense of taste by stimulating the trigeminal nerve. Researchers also found that peppermint blocked headache pain in a double-blind study. Peppermint is a great all around essential oil to have with you at all times.
